A majority of members of the church voted to bring in someone from outside of the local assembly for the pastorship. During spring, summer, and into fall, a selection committee then brought in candidates to preach and interview. After the voting process on the pool of candidates, Bro. Michael Curton emerged as the new pastor in October.</p> <p>Rev. Michael Curton had been pastoring in Fenton, Michigan. He is licensed with the <i>Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ</i> organization. Originally, Bro. Curton came from the church of Roland Baker, who has been featured in <i>IBC Perspectives</i> magazine. Bro. DeVault has been promoted to bishop in the assembly and is the pastor emeritus or senior pastor of the church now.</p> <p>Over the last several months we have been busy reorganizing various departments and functions of the church. Please continue to pray for our church as we go through this transition. I will probably not be updating this site any more.
